Tressie
About Tressie is a sweet 6-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing 8-9 pounds, who has been through an incredible journey of survival. She was found abandoned in a field, scared and suffering from a large tumor hanging from her body. After being rescued by a compassionate dog lover, she received immediate medical attention, including the removal of the tumor. During her care, it was discovered she had two deceased puppies inside her, which were also successfully removed during her spay surgery. Thankfully, her life was saved just in time. |
Now recovering and ready for a new beginning, Tressie is a calm and gentle soul. While she may be initially hesitant when approached by humans, she responds well to patience and affection, quickly learning the rhythm of home life. She would benefit from the company of playful pets in her new home to help build her confidence and encourage socialization. Tressie is intelligent and, with the right family, will continue to flourish.
Despite her tough past, Tressie is resilient, and with love and care, she’s ready to start her next chapter in a forever home.
